A remarkable piece of American car manufacturing history

It's not only unique to its design, but it’s also fitted with the first-ever built 4 strokes American petrol engine constructed t by Mr. Rutenber himself. This car was ordered by Mr. Austin F. Streand from Chicago Illinois. Mr. Strand's idea was to build a car capable to drive from the East to the West Coast of America. A matter of fact, this unique car was later displayed at the World’s Fair in 1904. It's never been in an accident and is in the same condition as when it was built in 1902 except for its mileage.

Mr. Austin asked for features such as roof, doors, windows. At that time, it was truly an incredible task to drive from East to West Coast of the United States of America. This is also proven by the large mileage exceeding 12 000 miles and could reach a top speed of 60 mph.

It was equipped with numerous working locomotive features such as a

Cowcatcher
Bell
Single headlights
Steam stack and sand dome
8 Day penny rim wind clock
